They believe that “all things deserve to be properly cherished.”
Rather than simply collecting, they value that objects are used as they should be and truly appreciated.
They have no memory of their distant past and do not remember what they originally were.
While running the antique shop, they continue searching for their true origin.
There is a faint memory of having once been helped by If Urone.

[Antique Shop]
The owner of an antique shop,
“Youjishi no Negura(鷹獅子の塒) — Griffin’s Nest.”
The name is derived from If Urone’s griffin-like form (hawk + lion), as well as the legend that griffins hoard treasure within their nests.
The location of the shop changes from time to time.
The layout of the interior can also shift according to Shiro’s will.
The shop deals in a wide range of items: antiques and fine art, as well as rare and unusual objects of all kinds, regardless of origin.
Modern items and miscellaneous goods are also handled, and on rare occasions, even living beings.
While most items are collected as a personal hobby, the goal is not mere accumulation.
Guided by the belief that “all things deserve to be properly cherished,” importance is placed on items being used as they should be and genuinely appreciated.
For this reason, Griffin’s Nest serves as a place where people and objects may encounter one another, guiding each item toward where it truly belongs.
They are able to perceive the emotions of various objects and living beings.
(Especially with old or well-loved items,) they can sense whether something is cherished and what it desires—something akin to a strong form of empathy.
Within Griffin’s Nest reside non-human entities such as tsukumogami and spirits that dwell within objects.
[True Nature]
They have no memory of their past.
The only thing they vaguely recall is being saved by If Urone and given an origami crane.
However, even when asked, If gives no answer, and the truth remains unknown.
Following If’s example, they often refer to themselves simply as a “Creature / Monster.”
[There is no established setting regarding their true past or identity. Please feel free to interpret freely.]
[Appearance / Transformation]
Capable of transforming into anything they have seen, whether living beings or inanimate objects (combinations are also possible).
Their usual appearance is also a transformed form, and even Shiro themself does not know what their original form was.
Like If Urone and Joe Manaka, the ability to “assimilate” objects is also present, though it is rarely used.
While If and Joe use black mist to envelop and absorb targets, Shiro uses white mist.
[Assimilation / Absorption]
Assimilating living beings or objects allows for the acquisition of part or all of their form, as well as their voice or abilities.
During assimilation, mist emerges from the base of the neck, envelops the target, and then returns into the body along with it.
The eyes resemble the moon as seen from Earth, and change with its phases.
Hair color and other features are changed frequently.
The right hand has four fingers.
The left arm is often missing from around the midpoint of the upper arm onward; sometimes a prosthetic is worn, and at other times it is formed.
[Other]
Once they begin talking, it is difficult for them to stop (they are aware of this).
Despite being non-human themself, they have a strong interest in the occult.
Though generally calm and gentle, they may speak quite frankly with long-time acquaintances such as If Urone and Joe Manaka.
Work includes:
Customer service (standard service as well as serving tea and sweets, and engaging in conversation),
maintenance of items,
acquiring goods through auctions and markets,
on-site purchasing, appraisal, restoration,
and post-sale maintenance visits… among other tasks.
